Improved comedy is only the beginning.

Fork & Knife was started in September, 2005, simply by a Facebook message that said "Hey, like improv?" Since then it has become an "institute of improvisational learning."

:: Structure
Every meeting, a different member of the group comes prepared with a list of exercises and games that center around a particular idea of importance to improv. For example, agreement, building an environment, listening, etc. In this manner, we can be sure to work on a different aspect everytime we meet and continually work to strengthen our social bonding and improv skills.

:: Meetings
Members of Fork & Knife get together three times per week - Tuesday evenings 7-9, Thursday evenings 9-11 and Sunday afternoons from 3-4, for a total of 5 hrs per week. We continue to think that this is not enough time, but we have other engagements, so the times shall remain as is for now.

:: Who We're Looking For
You don't have to be a pro at improv to be in this group. Granted, you have to be good and very open-minded, but the truth is, if you're willing, you can learn to do improv. It's not initially about being funny, it's about getting along and if you can get along with others, make others laugh occasionally, are supportive, intuitive and creative, then you are what this group is looking for. Come out and audition - there's no pressure, really.
